Accreditation

Registration

Registration is the first stage towards building a relationship with ODL QC.

All providers seeking accreditation must first register with ODL QC.    Those already accredited or registered do not need to re-register.

For details, please go to the page on Registration

Application for Assessment

Most providers can apply for assessment at the same time as registration, or at any time following registration

To apply for assessment you should use the Application for Assessment Form (A2).

You may be asked to pay a deposit towards your assessment fee if you are not already accredited, or based overseas; otherwise no fee is normally payable at this stage.

No consideration of assessment (and possible subsequent accreditation) can take place unless the provider is both registered with ODL QC and has applied for assessment.

Special statements are required on application for:

  • International providers, that is those based outside the United Kingdom;
  • those who offer courses leading to degrees, or who call themselves Universities.

Please check the appropriate pages before registering and making your application.

Both registration & application should be made by post.    Please ensure that the form is signed, and copies of all relevant materials and statements, and a cheque, are also included.

What happens next

Once received, all applications for assessment are reviewed and put before the next meeting of Council for preliminary consideration.

If accepted your provision will be listed on our website as a provider seeking accreditation.

Further details of what happens next are set out on the summary page.
