One room at the Museum is available to other local organisations who want to show their work. The latest visiting display is by CLIC Sargent, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of CLIC. This exhibition runs until the end of November 2006.
CLIC was set up in 1976 through the illness of Frenchay residents Bob and Judy Woodword's son Robert from leukaemia. Although Robert junior died in 1977, the work of helping families affected by childhood cancers went on
At first it was a local charity, then it became national, and finally international when CLIC International was formed with Mikhail Gorbachev as its President.
Today CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading children's cancer charity. They provide the widest range of services and the highest number of care
professionals to look after children and young people with cancer and their families.
